Grassroots soccer

As The Bank of Soccer, we are committed to growing the game in North America. We have invested over C$25 million to engage, develop and cultivate youth soccer at every level of competition across Canada since 2005, supporting over 1 million youth athletes in the sport.

BMO has a Purpose – to Boldly Grow the Good in business and in life. We understand that youth participation in sport helps lead to better outcomes for life. BMO is taking active steps to build an equitable sport system for everyone and at every level and is focused on bettering the sport at the grassroots level through three social impact priorities:

Equity: BMO is committed to supporting underrepresented groups within soccer to even the playing field. Specifically women and youth from BIPOC, Indigenous and lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

Enrichment: BMO is committed to enriching the experience of all soccer players for youth across Canada through the provision of equipment, facilities and specialized tournament and game experiences.

Education: BMO is committed to furthering the education of players, leaders and coaches within the game of soccer through training and development resources; specifically, in the areas of gender equity, inclusion, fair play and financial literacy.
